Welcome to my Blog where I write about my two loves: Buddhism and Cloud Computing. BTW: This Word Press software is running in Amazon’s Cloud on an EC2 Linux server and Route 53 DNS.
I have been practicing Buddhism and Meditation for over 5 years and 1/2. I started when I saw a report on TV by the “legendary” TV anchor Dan Harris where he talked about the “asshole in my head”, and I could really identify with this because my mind is constantly swimming with thoughts and rarely seems quiet. From there, I studied at Insight Meditation Society (IMS) in Barre MA in the Thervada Buddhism style.
Software, Microservices and Cloud Computing
I have been a Software Engineer since 1985, much of the time in the Microsoft Windows and .NET world. I have been using .NET since the first public alpha in 1990. I served as a Consultant on the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and was an MVP for 6 years.
But it’s a whole different world now, isn’t it? Convinced by the power and simplicity of Microservices, I been spending all my time with Docker, and Kubernetes. Of course, you need a place to host all this. I am convinced the cloud is the place. Although this is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), I’ve been spending a lot of time with Microsoft Azure and Google’s cloud.
